FireLine® 6 lb Beading Thread
FireLine® 6 lb is an ultra-strong, micro-fused braided beading thread made from gel-spun polyethylene. Designed for maximum durability, it offers zero stretch, outstanding abrasion resistance, and exceptional strength while maintaining a fine diameter of just 0.15 mm (0.006 in.).
Its thin profile allows it to pass easily through a size #10 to #12 English beading needle multiple times, making it an excellent choice for intricate beadwork and projects requiring repeated thread passes. FireLine® is especially valued by bead artists for its reliability when working with sharp-edged crystals, glass beads, Miyuki Delica beads, and other small seed beads.
With a 6 lb (2.7 kg) breaking strength, FireLine® combines flexibility with superior durability. Its micro-fused coating helps prevent fraying and wear while providing smooth, consistent stitching for professional-quality results.
Ideal for structured bead weaving, peyote stitch, tubular netting, seed bead embroidery, brick stitch, and other off-loom bead weaving techniques, FireLine® delivers excellent performance for jewelry making and detailed beadwork.
Due to its slightly stiff micro-fused construction, FireLine® is not recommended for beaded fringe, as it will not drape as naturally as softer beading threads.
